Before starting No Gimmick Gear, I worked as a Costume Designer in the theater, television, film, cosplay, dance, and circus industries for over a decade. Throughout those years, my work appeared on Olympic figure skaters, Miss America contestants, NBC television, dancers at Lincoln Center, and theater stages throughout NYC. I specialized in high performance costumes that needed to move well for the performer and capture the attention of an audience from a distance. These experiences strengthened my background in creating unique character designs and working with durable stretch fabrics.

In 2014, independent wrestler Max Caster (Create A Pro, NY) reached out inquiring about custom wrestling tights. I worked with Max over the next few weeks - fine tuning the design, selecting the right fabrics, taking measurements to ensure a great fit - everything necessary to bring his character to life! In the five years, hundreds of matches, and dozens of custom designs since that first pair of tights, I have enjoyed being a part of his wrestling career as his character, skillset, and gear have evolved. 

In 2015, I began promoting my work designing and building custom wrestling gear; expanding my client base throughout the northeast area. As the wrestling side of my business grew, I proudly launched No Gimmick Gear in 2019 to make my expertise and gear designs available to wrestlers across the county.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me on long runs throughout NYC, reading under a pile of quilts on my couch, or on my continual quest for delicious donuts.
